ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SIXTH “SALTSJÖBADEN” WORKSHOP IN GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN 19-21 MARCH 2018

Clean Air for a Sustainable Future – Goals and Challenges is the main theme for the international science-policy workshop to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, 19-21 March 2018. The workshop is directed towards policymakers, scientists and other stakeholders active in supporting air pollution awareness and control on an international scale and is the sixth in a series within the so called Saltsjöbaden format.

The workshop will in particular consider air pollution issues in relation to international conventions and other initiatives such as the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP), the EU legislation on Air Pollution, the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), the Arctic Council/Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP), the Stockholm Convention and the Minamata Convention.

The workshop is organized by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute in close collaboration with the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP).
